What started as a couple of MARE researchers working in Madeira in 2013 grew to become an official MARE Regional Research Unit in 2019. Managed by ARDITI, MARE-Madeira is now home to over 60 researchers and international collaborators, representing a wide range of nationalities and research backgrounds.
