Mostly interested in fisheries management and sustainability, César is a research technician and part of the team working in the AQUAFISH0.0 Project. Before joining MARE, he worked as a biologist for several years in the aquaculture industry in Madeira and also as a fisheries observer for POPA (Programa de Observação das Pescas dos Açores) aboard the tuna vessels operating in Azores waters. César has a BSc in Biology (University of Azores) and a MSc in Marine Biology (University of Algarve).
