Matilde Gouveia is curious, driven and has always been captivated by the intricate complexities of the natural world. With a passion for unraveling the mysteries of life, Matilde set her sights on a future in biology, where she hopes to contribute to our understanding of the life and organisms around us. Matilde’s love for biology has guided her academic choices and, after finishing high school this year with a focus in science-related subjects, her next step is enrolling in Med School at UPorto. As a Youth Ambassador, her goal is to represent MARE-Madeira by connecting with the island’s youth, bringing awareness and providing valuable insights about the institute’s work, inspiring young individuals to make a difference.
