Ana Dinis is a postdoctoral fellow at MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre, Regional Agency for the Development of Research Technology and Innovation (ARDITI), since 2018. Her main research interests focus on large marine vertebrates’ ecology, namely social structure, group dynamics, residency, and movement patterns of highly social species, in the Macaronesian region. She was involved in several national and nine international projects as a co-coordinator or invited expert. In the last years, she co-supervised several students from undergraduate to PhD, as well as research fellowships (master level). She has authored or co-authored various peer-reviewed publications, two books, six oral presentations, and >30 conference poster communications on marine mammals’ research. She is a member of the Marine Mammal Expert Group (OMMEG) under ICG-COBAM / BDC, for the OSPAR
