Filipa Paiva

Filipa is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Terrestrial and Aquatic Wildlife Research (University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover), Germany. She is conducting research on the potential conflict between the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) and pond management and inland fisheries in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Filipa has a PhD in Marine Sciences from the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and a MSc in Natural Resources Management and Conservation from the School of Sciences and Technology (University of Évora) and the Institute of Agronomy of the University of Lisbon. In addition, her research interests focus on invasion ecology and the impacts of global climate change and human activities on the ocean.
