Dennis Brennecke

Marine biologist

Dennis has a PhD in Natural Sciences from the University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover and the University of Southern Denmark. Dennis has a MSc in biological oceanography from GEOMAR, Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel and a BSc in Biology from the University of Rostock. Currently he is a post-doctoral researcher at the Institute for Terrestrial and Aquatic Wildlife Research (University of Veterinary Medicine Hanover), Germany. He is conducting research within a conflict management project focusing on mussel farming encounters with eider ducks (Somateria mollissima) as well as health surveys of eider ducks in light of population declines. In addition, his research interests focus on marine mammals, science education and the usage of drones as a new innovative research tool.
