Diego received his PhD in Biology from the University of Barcelona (Spain) in 2018, with his research carried out in collaboration with the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA, Tarragona, Spain). His research interests are in the early life stages and aquaculture development of marine invertebrates. As a post-doc at MARE-Madeira working on the Ecosystem Services & Blue Economy team, his current research activities focus on hatchery production and the biology of true limpets (Patellogastropoda: Patellidae).
