Eugénia Barroca é a Representante Regional para a Lusofonia e Europa na Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), a maior rede global de Líderes Oceânicos do mundo. É também Embaixadora do Programa Blue School e, entre 2019 e 2020, foi também Jovem Embaixadora Atlântica de Portugal, no projeto AANChOR. Em 2022, foi considerada «Heroína do Oceano» pelo Presidente da República, Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, e em 2023 integrou o Grupo de Reflexão ‘O Futuro Começou’, no qual discute os grandes objetivos nacionais e globais com o Presidente da República e a juventude portuguesa. Em 2021, Eugénia prestou consultoria científica na produção da série documental «Rios Urbanos» sobre 12 estuários portugueses, que estreou a 13 de novembro na RTP2. Nos últimos dez anos, desempenhou um papel ativo em vários projetos de voluntariado ambiental em organizações nacionais e internacionais. Eugénia Barroca é licenciada em Biologia Marinha pela Universidade do Algarve e está atualmente a estudar para um mestrado em Biologia Marinha Aplicada na Universidade de Aveiro.

Eugénia Barroca is the Regional Representative for Lusofonia and Europe at the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (SOA), the world's largest global network of Ocean Leaders. She is also an Ambassador for the Blue School Program and between 2019 and 2020 she was also a Young Atlantic Ambassador of Portugal, in the AANChOR project. In 2022, she was considered “Heroine of the Ocean” by the President of the Republic Dr. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and in 2023 she joined the Reflection Group ‘The Future Has Started’ in which she discusses the great national and global goals with the President of the Republic and Portuguese youth. In 2021, Eugénia provided scientific consultancy in the production of the documentary series "Rios Urbanos" about 12 Portuguese estuaries, which premiered on November 13th on RTP2. Over the last ten years, she has played an active role in several environmental volunteering projects in national and international organizations. Eugénia Barroca has a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Algarve and is currently studying for a master's degree in Applied Marine Biology at the University of Aveiro.
