
Isabel Fagundes
PhD Student
Isabel is a PhD student at MARE-Madeira and the University of Madeira, funded by an ARDITI scholarship. Her project aims to assess how different species of seabirds, with different feeding areas, can provide indications of the presence of contaminants and marine litter in the coastal and pelagic areas of the Madeira archipelago. In recent years, Isabel has worked in the field of seabird conservation and island habitat restoration. Isabel holds a master's degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Évora and a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Madeira.
