Martim just finished high school at Escola Secundária Francisco Franco. His love for Biology started way back, when he still studied at Salesianos do Funchal, after thinking of Architecture, Medicine and even Astronomy as prospects for his future. It was during high school that he was sure he wanted to be a research scientist in the field of Biology for a living, a thought that strengthened after getting to know João Canning-Clode and MARE-Madeira. As a Youth Ambassador, he aims to involve the community in Marine Conservation and bring fun and exciting science closer to the younger generation by sharing his passion. His next step will be enrolling in the Biology Bachelor's at ULisboa.
