Natacha Nogueira
Natacha Nogueira holds a Licentiate degree in Marine Biology from the Faculty of Sciences, University of Lisbon (200), and M.Sc. degree in Aquaculture from Las Palmas University (2005). She formerly worked at the Mariculture Centre of Calheta, a marine aquaculture research unit and fish hatchery, where she had the opportunity to develop and collaborate on various research projects in the fields of fish nutrition and welfare, species diversification and culture methods. Between 2012 and 2015 she worked as a manager of a wet biomass production unit of marine microalgae, where she had the opportunity to acquire skills and develop approaches to current knowledge and development on the potential biotechnological applications of microalgae.
Since 2020, Natacha has worked as Head of Office of Marine Policy in the Regional Directorate of the Sea, developing most of her work on the marine spatial planning and marine strategy framework directives, along with the development of the regional blue economy.
