In this Ph.D. Nuno is also interested in various themes related to biological invasions, particularly introduction pathways/vectors, dispersal, and climate change interactions.

Nuno completed an MSc degree in Marine Sciences at the Faculty of Sciences of Lisbon University, Portugal, in 2009. From that point forward, he was awarded several research grants related to fish ecology, fish communities, Marine Protected Areas (MPAs), and more recently, invasive ecology. Nuno has participated in various national and international research projects, which resulted in several scientific research papers, communications (oral and poster presentations), and technical reports.
