Rodrigo Pires da Silva is the scientific diving activities Technician of MARE – Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre, Regional Agency for the Development of Research Technology and Innovation (ARDITI).
Rodrigo completed his MSc degree in Marine Ecology at the Sciences Faculty of the Lisbon University in 2018, developing his research at the Center of Marine Biology of University of São Paulo, Brazil. During his academic journey, Rodrigo had the opportunity to collaborate with the Department of Fisheries and Oceanography of the Azores University (DOP), Faial Island to develop his final bachelor report and with the International Marine Center (IMC), Science and Technology Park of Sardinia Pole of Oristano, Italy under the Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo da Vinci. He has broad interests in marine ecology and invasion biology and his research focuses on non-indigenous species and associated mobile invertebrates. Rodrigo has published 5 publications in internationally recognized scientific journals.
